You will understand how your mahi fits into the larger picture for this tīma and indeed the wider Engineering domain, _Making software engineering simple._ As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will exhibit leadership and influence well beyond yourself. This leadership comes in the form of tīma leadership, exceptionally strong individual contribution, or something between these two extremes (extensive mentoring of junior tīma members while maintaining deep individual contribution, for example). Given a nebulous project/piece of mahi, a Senior Technical Specialist will appropriately scope it, find a solution, implement and launch seamlessly. You will be viewed as the go-to expert in some significant area; in this case Kafka/Cloud - AWS, Azure. You will be involved in setting the standards for the tīma and providing technical advice and decision - making that affects not only our immediate tīma but other tīmas or Technology at large. **What specific tech skills are required to be successful?** - Understanding/exposure with Kafka Enterprise - Experience working in a DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment - A high level of Agile fluency and a well-developed Product mindset - Sound infrastructure skills - specifically Linux - Understanding/previous experience working with cloud technologies i.e.; Azure/AWS - A working knowledge of modern CI/CD Practice and experience with Jenkins, Ansible, terraform, and containers. **What is expected from the role?** You will be part of the tīma responsible for Event Design, asynchronous interface guidance, MQ and Kafka platform support. You will bring your expertise as a Cloud Engineer with infrastructure and DevOps knowledge.
