Our Maintenance team in Hastings is looking for an experienced & passionate Maintenance Manager to cover day-to-day maintenance engineering issues, defect elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management aspects of reliability engineering best practices.

This role is an integral member of a cross functional site leadership team and will see you contribute to the implementation of capital projects.

**About the role**
- Understand and support continuous improvement in the organisation by initiating improvements
- Attend and participate actively in all Maintenance & Production meetings to keep up to date with changes and provide appropriate information
- Ensure that plant and equipment meets appropriate standards and legislative requirements.
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of McCain Foods Safety Plans and visibly and constantly support its implementation into the maintenance, electrical, boiler and refrigeration areas
- Identify and develop the annual maintenance requirements for budget approval
- Ensure that all equipment and plant operations meet environmental standards and requirements.
- Support leadership team decisions and ensure that all commitments made are followed through.
- Maintain a positive and constructive attitude that promotes, supports and encourages engagement within the team.
- Ensure employees (as well as contractors) are actively aware of safety expectations
- Provide input into the development of site projects and ensure safe labour allocation for site projects as required

**About you**
- Trade certificate in mechanical or electrical trades or related discipline and/or relevant on the job management experience.
- Have confident communication and interpersonal skills when working with various stakeholders within the business.
- Ability to determine own decision-making levels and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to organise own workload, prioritise outputs and work within time constraints.
- Capability to problem solve and initiative to raise suggestions and ideas for continuous improvement.
- A problem solving mindset and initiative to raise suggestions and ideas for continuous improvement
- Good computer systems knowledge including Microsoft Office & SAP
