**Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
We’re looking for a GIS Specialist to join our Wellington Digital Services team. Our Wellington Digital Services includes GIS and Digital Consulting and interfaces closely with our national Digital Services team. In your role you will undertake geospatial analysis and produce client deliverables, supporting the full lifecycle of a work package and working closely with other members of the national team. The specialist role will include providing technical advice, solving spatial and technical matters and managing data in a range of formats. You’ll work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders as part of our national GIS and data analytics discipline.
**Ko wai koe | About you**
As a GIS professional with 2-5 years’ experience, you will be ready for your next career move.
- Familiarity with FME software.
- Experience with spatial analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic about all things GIS with a hunger to learn and develop
- Experience working with clients
Experience with the following tools would be an advantage:
- Other GIS software or tools
- Coding languages such as Python
- Data visualization tools such as Power BI
