**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

This is a part-time 0.4FTE (16 hours per week), permanent position.

**The days of work are Wednesdays and Fridays.**

Remuneration: PTF2; $101,920 + dependent on experience and qualifications

The purpose of this position is to provide high quality, evidence-based clinical education for masters students within the MSLTPrac programme. This role requires a specialist speech-language therapy clinical educator with in-depth knowledge and experience of Indigenous service delivery models.

The position will primarily support Speech Science within the School of Psychology, which is home to over 65 academic staff, including a number of research fellows, and over 390 post-graduate students pursuing wide-ranging aspects of psychology from cognitive neuroscience, animal cognition and sensory processing to Indigenous, industrial and health psychology. The School has three applied programmes (clinical psychology, speech science, applied behaviour analysis) which support students to develop professional as well as research skills.

You will be expected to deliver the following:

- Design of teaching materials
- Teaching and learning
- Assessment and grading
- Effective communication and involvement with initiatives
- Leadership, including course coordination

Essential Qualifications and Knowledge include:

- SLT qualification and a relevant postgraduate qualification
- Eligibility for NZSTA membership
- A minimum of three years clinical experience as a speech
- language therapist
- Clinical education experience (i.e., supervision of speech-language therapy students)
- Experience of working in settings with a focus on Te Tiriti o Waitangi and te Ao Māori
- Knowledge of the use of technologies to support learning and teaching
- Demonstrable commitment to quality teaching and improving student outcomes and experience
- An understanding of equity issues, issues related to colonisation, and ongoing individual growth in culturally safe practice
- Commitment to quality teaching and support services
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to motivate, enthuse and inspire learners
- Ability to innovate and willingness to use new technology
