**Our Opportunity**

The position of Transport Planner is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of GFNZ's freight volumes as guided by the Transport Strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

- From data created by production sites, ensure each load is manifested accurately and above minimum utilization levels
- Communicate to production sites and transport providers load allocations for both inbound and outbound loads
- Monitor, record and report actual utilisation versus target levels
- Participate in the investigation of negative and positive variances with the Transport Manager
- Participate in the identification of opportunities and efficiencies with in the Supply Chain at GF
- Ensure all SH&E requirements are completed including workplace incident reporting, WALKS, TALK'S CARE Process, Environmental, Food Safety are adhered to as per GF requirements
- Working with the Transport Manager, to be the “Go To” co-ordinator for internal/external freight movements
- Ensure SOP's are current processes are adhered too
- Ensure appropriate levels of communication to both internal and external customers are achieved and responded to with agreed timeframes
- Service delivery performance is maintained at a high standard, ensuring DIFOTIS targets are consistently achieved or exceeded
- Reliable point of contact for GFNZ business units for Transport movement and network issues.
- Management of internal and external Transport providers

**About You**

We're looking for someone with the following skills and experience to join us:

- Transport/Logistics experience within an FMCG environment
- Contractor Management
- Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, SAP and E-Road
- Knowledge of NZ Road Transport Law
- Experience of working with a Transport Management System
- Food Safety Knowledge
- Flexibility as this is a 7 day a week industry
