Civil Labourer for Drainage Team

Multiple civil labouring roles are available on civil sites located; Hornby, Darfield, Kaiapoi and Christchurch Central

You will be working alongside experienced crews to help prepare, maintain and construct driveways, paths, patios, carparks, footpaths, tennis courts and general roading.

**Benefits of the job**:

- Temp to perm after successful 6-month placement
- Weekly Pay + Holiday Pay
- 4 hours paid when rained off
- Big hours on offer up to 50 hours per week

**Role requirements**:

- Must come with 3-6 months civil labouring experience
- Experience working on a civil site
- Must be able to be physically fit and work 8-10 hour days
- Pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must have own transport or way to site
**Duties/ Responsibilities**:
**Drainage crew;**
- Working within subdivision drainage and roading crews
- Assisting the final stages of the subdivision, digging holes, installing drainage and other live services
- Installing three waters drainage systems to code
- Digging trenches up to 2.5meters and levelling to required meterage
- Working along site machine operators and drainage crew members
- Laying and sealing PVC piping
- Backfilling and securing trenches
- Assist with laser set-up
**Asphalt crew**:

- Removing old asphalting and levelling ground
- Laying and levelling out asphalt
- Assist in the pouring, smoothing and setting of asphalt on roads, pathways, driveways and carparks
- Bandaging existing roads
- Raking, sweeping, and lining out the road
- Working alongside the tractor, mill, paver, and the screed
- General site maintenance
