In our diverse and accepting environment, our people grow their agile mind-set, learn, evolve, and utilise their skills, while being empowered to make decisions. **About the role**: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Centre Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our datacentre infrastructure. You will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our Data Centres, optimizing performance, and ensuring the highest levels of security and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** - Implement and maintain Data Centre infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power distribution units (PDUs). - Monitor and manage datacentre performance, addressing any issues promptly. - Ensure datacentre security by implementing and maintaining robust security measures and protocols. - Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate and optimize datacentre operations within the broader IT infrastructure. - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for datacentre systems, configurations, and procedures. - Plan and execute datacentre migrations, upgrades, and expansions with mínimal disruption to operations. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for datacentre-related issues. - At least 3 years of experience in data centre operations, engineering, or a related role. - Strong knowledge of datacentre infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power distribution units. - Experience with data centre monitoring and management tools. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Strong understanding of data centre security best practices and protocols. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Data Centre Infrastructure Expert (DCIE), or equivalent are preferred. **Qualifications** In addition, the following would be an advantage: - Cisco UCS - Cisco networking - Storage and backup technologies **Working at ASB**: ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
