The Waimakariri District Council operates four Aquatic Facilities in the North Canterbury region including Dudley Park Aquatic Centre in Rangiora, Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre and the seasonal sites; Oxford Community Aquatic Centre and Waikuku Beach paddling pool.

From these facilities, we provide a high-level customer experience to a wide range of users ensuring that each facility is being utilised to its full potential. We are a respectful and progressive team delivering value for our customers.

As the Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre Manager you will take a collaborative approach to delivering a high quality experience to our customers, ensuring a professional, approachable and solutions focused approach to community needs. You will champion innovation & new ideas to ensure a best value solutions approach, through the planning, organisation and delivery of services. This will require a high degree of self-awareness, motivation and strong communication skills.

You will hold a tertiary qualification in Recreation and Sport, Business management or have at least 4 years’ industry experience in senior roles. The successful applicant will have experience in the coaching and development of staff and planning and delivery of maintenance programmes.
