**Te** **kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our Wellington team. In this role, you will be required to provide on-site monitoring of construction activities ensuring quality and Health & Safety aspects are delivered to the client’s requirements. You will also be tasked with managing financial elements such as procurement, deliveries, and subcontractor presence.
- Ensuring efficient use of materials, supplies and equipment
- Develop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and the public.
- Communicate important information to the contracting team and any work changes to the project manager.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

To be successful in this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have extensive knowledge of quality and H&S ideologies within a civil construction/maintenance environment. You’ll hold a tertiary qualification or the equivalent in engineering. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills will serve you well in this role.

In addition, you will also have:

- Strong problem-solving skills
- A full driver’s licence
- The ability to drive projects, managing relationships and activity to achieve targets
- Relationship management skills to help with clients and public stakeholder relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
