Due to expansive growth in the construction industry and a growing portfolio of work, Silverstrand is seeking a **Site Engineer** to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based on our Auckland or Wellington projects and employed on a permanent basis.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer is responsible for:

- Ensuring that the project works are completed in line with Silverstrand’ s and client’s procedures
- Review engineering drawings/ specifications, budgets, and timeframes
- Ensuring compliance with Safety & site Environmental requirements
- Procurement of plant and materials
- Provision of technical advice to stakeholders and clients
- Provide engineering and technical advice to the project team
- Daily record keeping and input of data

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Civil Engineering Degree or similar
- 3-5 years’ experience in an engineering capacity on civil infrastructure projects
- Experience with concrete construction and drainage works including pre-pour inspections
- Experience with setting out works and height control using a total station
- Placement and control of concrete orders
- Thorough knowledge of NZ codes and standards
- Strong Communication and people Skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- A good understanding of the Microsoft suit, in particular Excel and Word
- Experience in coordinating resources on site and programming of works.

Position: Full time / permanent position. (Minimum 40 hours per week)

**Salary**: Position junior Engineer Minimum $70,000 - Maximum $95,000 (dependent on experience)

**Salary**: Position Senior Engineer Minimum $95,000 - Maximum $140,000 (dependent on experience)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
