As a trusted People Adviser, you will thrive in a complex and fast paced environment and support the HR Business Partner to deliver the workforce strategy that emphasises talent, diversity, culture, and leadership capabilities. You will manage your own client portfolio as well as supporting the usual cyclical activities on the human resources calendar. It’s an exciting time to join a newly formed, high performing team who likes to have fun and celebrate success.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Experience of partnering with People Leaders to build and develop their teams capability and performance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or a willingness to gain knowledge of, Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of, Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector.
- Sound knowledge of HR foundations including employment law and expertise in at least one of: talent management, reward and remuneration, employee experience, employment relations, organisation design and development.
- Experience aligning HR strategies to business needs.
- Experience of championing change and leading change processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to coach, advise and negotiate effectively.
