**About this role**:
As a Tech Lead, you will be working as the technical iOS leader as well as completing hands-on coding in iOS platform. Part of a global team, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

As an iOS tech guru, you will be responsible for innovating and building world-class technical infrastructure for our iOS platform.

How you'll make an impact
- As the technical expert in the team, you will be responsible for promoting new architectures, best practices, and cutting edge technologies.
- Mentor and guide team members and help resolve technical challenges and problems.
- For hands-on coding, you will be engineering robust, testable, and scalable code to be efficient, reliable, maintainable and reusable.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, guidelines and our technical infrastructure to help enhance infrastructure and improve reliability and efficiency.
- Cross-team collaboration, with product, design, and QA teams, to ensure we create great user experiences whilst also adhering to our high security and privacy standards which are underpinned by our end-to-end encryption.

This is a remote role. Our preferred locations are Asia-Pacific, Europe or New Zealand (where our head office is based). This role requires flexible working hours as you will collaborate with teams globally.

**About you**:
An iOS tech leader with plenty of experience working on complex mobile apps. You enjoy building world-class products which are technically robust, while keeping your code clean and working to seek out the best possible ideas to solve problems.

You are self-motivated, disciplined, and willing to lead the team out of their comfort zone to try something new.

You have:

- Initiative and are willing to go the extra mile
- An in-depth understanding of Clean Architecture, OO Design patterns, and SOLID principles
- A strong desire for Clean Architecture, and MVVM, VIPER architecture patterns
- A great sense of code smell
- Strong experience in concurrent programming
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Swift and iOS ecosystem
- Solid experience in SwiftUI & Combine technologies
- A passion to consistently be up-to-date with latest iOS technologies and best practices
- A focus on researching and exploring the next generation technical infrastructure
- Strong communication skills
- A desire to strive for best practice and industry leading standards.

**Qualifications**

Ideally, you also hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
