Waipuna Hospice has a high profile in the Bay of Plenty for providing specialist community palliative care. Our geographical reach covers Waihi Beach to Paengaroa and while our focus is on hospice-at-home, we also have an established inpatient unit and we support a large community team. These services are funded through Te Whatu Ora contracts, fundraising and income from our charity retail shops.

**ABOUT THE JOB**

We are looking for a Shop Assistant to join the team at our Mount Maunganui Charity Shop. This position will work closely with our Shop Manager and team to present and sell donated goods.

The hours are 21 hours per week and includes permanent weekend work on a Saturday, there is also the opportunity for additional hours to cover staff leave.

This is a varied role and includes receiving and sorting donated goods, providing exceptional customer service, working on the till, shop displays and merchandising. This is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. We need someone that’s energetic, physically fit, is happy to roll their sleeves up and go where the work is.

Additional hours may be required from time to time to cover annual leave, sickness and to support our other retail shops.
