The role leads and builds the capability of managers, supervisors, and team leaders so that the McCain ANZ regional strategy and management system are implemented and embedded. The role is also responsible for determining key safety risk areas specific to their areas of responsibility in addition to regional strategy, and for developing safety improvement plans for these areas relating to site-specific key risks.

**About the role**
- Provide leadership, coaching and expert advice in the field of occupational health and safety to leadership teams
- Performs safety audit functions to ensure risk controls are present and effective
- Driving change through engagement, empowerment and changing behaviours at all levels, from the factory floor to senior managers on site
- Build and maintain systems and structures to foster a continuous improvement culture across their areas of responsibility through cross-functional teamwork, communication, and utilising safety risk management principles
- Provide leadership and structure to develop Managers, health and safety peers, and direct team members and employees to continuously improve safety objectives and outcomes
- Ensure safety compliance requirements are known by Plant and Functional management to enable appropriate prioritisation of safety risk management and decision-making by operational leaders

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering or specialist occupational health and safety discipline
- 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or other heavy industry environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Safety Management Systems, structures and processes (e.g., ISO45001). Demonstrated ability to understand, create or update the documentation to a professional standard
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work on a variety of projects with a results orientation and good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence people at all levels of the organization
