We are looking for a Waste & Wastewater Operations Manager to lead day-to-day management of our seven water treatment plants and seven wastewater treatment plants. Through proactive leadership, this new role will develop and enhance a high performing operations team, responsible for the successful and sustainable delivery of water and wastewater across the Tararua District.

Reporting to the 3-Waters Manager, this role requires a passion for leadership, continuous improvement, water and wastewater services, and for supporting Council to successfully meet commitments to our community and regulators in a postive and focused way.
- Providing proactive management of and leadership to the Water & Wastewater Operations team, guiding and collaborating with others in a diverse and challenging environment.
- Providing professional advice and support to the Group Manager - Infrastructure and 3-Waters Manager.
- Overseeing the successful management of water and wastewater treatment plants, including operations, maintenance, renewals and capital improvements, as well as informing the direction of associated investment requirements.
- Developing and enhancing trusted and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
