About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Donor Services nursing leadership team in the Waikato - Bay of Plenty.
Reporting to the Charge Nurse you will be required to work collaboratively with the senior nursing team, Registered Nurses and Donor Technicians. Working closely with inter-departmental services you will demonstrate a high quality of care to donors by demonstrating best practice.
This position has overall responsibility for the day to day management of the donor floor, which includes whole blood and plasma apheresis collections, therapeutic procedures and mobile blood drives. There will be some time spent in Hamilton with peer Clinical Nurse Leaders.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Providing exemplary clinical leadership
- Maintaining a positive, caring donor centric environment and facility
- Provide strong leadership with a 'hands on approach' to the team
- Ensure professional development and training is completed and meets organisational requirements
- Managing incident and complaints
- Lead a positive, cohesive, adaptable and enthusiastic team
- Achieving NZBS targets.
Salary starting from $98,436 to $104,706 depending on skills and experience.
About you
**To be successful in this role you will**:
- Be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years' experience with demonstrated skills in a Nursing Leadership position within the Health Sector
- Have appropriate post-graduate qualification (this will be an added advantage)
- Have a current NZ Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing Council of NZ
