Our client is a highly successful core infrastructure business operating within a larger NZX-listed group. As a standalone business they have a strong heritage and reputation.

With the departure of a long-serving employee, this is a great opportunity for someone to come in and add considerable value to the business working across multiple manufacturing facilities and distribution centres.

**More About The Role**

The role is a true Business Partner role. The focus is on the sales & distribution of their products - so the logistics and movement of their products around New Zealand.

Responsibilities include the following:
Analysis and modelling to support business decisions such as pricing modelling, cost-to-serve modelling, variance analysis, root cause analysis and benchmarking analysis

Using BI tools to provide data-driven insights

Providing analytical support to business projects

Responding to Group, Division and Business Unit analytical queries

Analysing working capital and capital expenditure performance in comparison to forecast

Develop analytical insights and identify opportunities for operational improvements

Providing ad hoc specialised management reports supporting the management of financial performance

A key part of this role, especially in the first few months, will be to form relationships across the business including the manufacturing facilities and distribution centres. The better you know what goes on day-to-day, the better analysis and support you can provide the business with your insights

**So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?**

As you can see the word 'analysis' has been used a lot in that description So it will come as no surprise that we are looking for someone who has a solid background in commercial analysis.

We are flexible on the industry you may have worked in; but any exposure to logistics, distribution of products or movement of goods would be a nice bonus.

The role is a true Business partner and as such, we need someone who has clear communication skills in both writing and face-to-face as well as the ability to form effective working relationships across the business.

A good level of MS Excel is essential as the role is critical in providing data and insights to the business.

Some travel is required but this can be managed around your schedule to a large extent.
