This nationally renowned firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their finance team as a Senior Accountant. **Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Perform complex reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional development.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and best practices, recommending improvements to existing processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA qualification is highly preferred.
- Must be in New Zealand or have the right to work in New Zealand due to border restrictions
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
