RotoruaNZ is looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Communications Executive to join our dynamic Marketing & Communications team.
As Rotorua’s Economic Development Agency and Regional Tourism Organisation, we’re on a mission to position our city as a vibrant, world-class place to live, work, study, invest and visit.
**What you'll be doing**:

- Crafting and delivering innovative PR and communications strategies
- Leading the creation of compelling content across multiple channels - from media releases to thought leadership pieces and executive speeches
- Building strong media and stakeholder relationships locally, nationally and internationally
- Supporting reputation and issues management, including media monitoring and proactive storytelling
- Collaborating across the organisation to align messaging and enhance RotoruaNZ’s profile and impact

**What we're looking for**:

- A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, PR or related field
- 10+ years’ experience in senior communications or marketing roles
- Proven ability to turn complex ideas into clear, inspiring messaging
- Strong media relations skills and editorial flair
- Experience working with or alongside iwi and a demonstrated understanding of tikanga Māori is highly desirable
- Tourism or economic development experience is a plus
