SUMMARY
Develop and update course materials for training programmes and deliver practical training and assessment programmes that improve workplace performance.
- Empower trainees to excel with dynamic training content and hands-on assessments.
- Unlock trainee performance potential through impactful training and measurable results.
- Drive measurable performance improvements through strategic training and assessments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To work with individuals and/or organisations to develop and provide engaging, relevant practical training and assessment programmes across infrastructure industries.
- To provide work type competency (WTC) and industry Health and Safety related training
- Establishing customer needs for training and assessment.
- Developing and updating course training material and training activities using the quality management system procedures and processes.
- Develop and update assessment activities using the quality management system procedures and processes and carry out post-course and workplace assessments.
- Carry out internal moderation of assessment.
- Self-evaluate the effectiveness of your training design and delivery.
- Proactively engage with evolving industry practices, rules, and standards.
- Liaise professionally and effectively with industry organisations, and professional bodies, where required.
- Keep training and assessment information current and correct in the company learning management system.
- Collaborate with passionate colleagues, upholding Avetta's values while delivering excellence that propels our business forward.
- Other functions as determined by business requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- An Electrical Registration AND/OR
- Other recognised relevant technical qualifications e.g., Electrical Trade Certificate, National Certificate, or New Zealand Certificate in Electricity (Distribution)/Engineering and/or Telecommunications Level 3 or higher
- A full clean driver's licence
- Proficient computer skills and a strong grasp of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- At least three years of industry work experience in either the Telecommunications, Electricity Supply or Infrastructure Industry

- Demonstration of safe working practices.
- Develop engaging training and learning experiences and assessment programmes.
- Captivate trainees with dynamic facilitation skills that promote active participation.
- Ensure trainees' successful completion of programmes and qualifications.
- Compliance with the Avetta NZ Quality Management System.
- Meet external and internal moderation requirements.
- High-quality outputs (accuracy and initiative) in all aspects of work
- Ability to competently use Microsoft Suite - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet
Desirable:
- Experience with supervising/mentoring staff
- Experience in a training role
- Understanding of the New Zealand Electricity Supply Industry from generation to distribution
- Understanding of the New Zealand Telecommunications industry and infrastructure
- Clear understanding of current statutes and codes of practice governing work in the Electricity and Telecommunication Industries
- Knowledge of the NZQA framework
- Hold a Business Qualification
