**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

The Prevention Directorate develops, implements and manages primary and secondary preventative interventions such as screening and immunisation through our national prevention teams, with regional coordination and local delivery.

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Prevention team as a** Delivery Lead - Prevention. **This role is critical in enabling the delivery of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).

The primary purpose to provide leadership, management and delivery oversight, to the work of the Prevention Directorate. This role will work across priority projects to provide leadership and expert support to ensure delivery of these projects from initiation to implementation to improve the quality of prevention programmes, ensure equitable health outcomes for all New Zealanders and contributes to the strategic objectives of the Directorate.

You are someone who thrives on pulling together clear ideas and conclusion from complex technical information; then communicating this in a manner that is understood by the audience. You have an understanding of machinery of government, and experience in fast-paced and reactive environments.

- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- At least 3 years' experience working in the health sector either at a clinical and/or advisor level or other related field or significant and proven experience in similar roles the health or related NGO sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships at all levels and across organisations
- Demonstrated mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present in a clear, persuasive, and impactful way, to influence others to embrace change, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomes
