Te Whatu Ora Lakes is focusing on transforming the recruitment of nurses, midwives and assistant roles (HCA, Maternity Support workers, Mental Health Support workers) to ensure the right person for the right role in the right amount of time. A new role has been created as part of this initiative to drive the advancement of this mahi (work). This position provides a great opportunity for a dynamic and vibrant nurse to further enrich their career. The successful applicant will provide leadership, deliver strategies, operational advice and work closely with the Talent Acquisition Team, People and Culture Team with the support of the Chief Operating Officer (or equivalent). The applicant will also be expected to collaborate with Clinical Nurse and Midwife managers and the senior nursing / midwifery leadership team including the Director of Nursing and Midwifery as well as the Māori Health team.
In addition, this role will champion the promotion of the agency HCA workforce across Rotorua and Taupō hospitals. The applicant will ensure HCA competencies are achieved through induction programs with ongoing education as required as well as provide pastoral care via follow up performance reviews.
**Applicants should**:
- have previous experience in marketing and recruitment preferably in a health setting
demonstrate effective communication, management and leadership skills.
- have a current New Zealand work visa
- have an Annual Practicing Certificate
- have Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
The beautiful Lakes District of Rotorua and Taupo is well known for its outdoor recreational activities including walking tracks, mountain biking and trout fishing. Lake and river water sports such as boating and kayaking are exceptional. Rotorua is positioned in the centre of the North Island, close to many major attractions and offers a wonderful work-life balance.
**Salary range**: $97,699 - $107,341
