Our growing company is seeking a Landscape Architect to join our creative team in Auckland.
You’ll collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to transform ideas into innovative, functional, and environmentally responsible designs. From concept through construction, you’ll play a vital role in shaping landscapes that balance beauty, usability, and ecological integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Consult with clients and management to determine the type, style, and scale of planned developments, renovations, and external environments.
Ø Conduct site inspections and compile data on geographical, ecological, and environmental factors such as topography, soil, vegetation, and hydrology to inform design decisions.
Ø Prepare conceptual designs, sketches, and detailed working drawings that integrate natural and built elements harmoniously.
Ø Develop project documentation, including specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents, to support tendering and construction processes.
Ø Formulate land-use and development recommendations, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and sustainability objectives.
Ø Coordinate with architects, engineers, planners, and construction professionals to ensure design integrity and functionality throughout all project stages.
Ø Advise on the selection of materials and plant species appropriate for local conditions, promoting ecological balance and aesthetic quality.
Ø Monitor and inspect construction work to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Ø Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field.
Ø If you have no qualification, you must have at least 2 year of relevant experience.
Ø Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, or similar).
Ø Strong understanding of environmental sustainability and local regulations.
Ø Strong design and visualization skills.
Ø Passion for environmental sustainability and detail-oriented project delivery.
