We at the Bupa **Northhaven Care Home** are searching for an Activities Assistant with a creative flair to join our passionate team. This is a permanent, full-time position. In this role, you will be supporting the Activities Coordinator, identifying the leisure activity needs of each of the **Northhaven Care Home** residents based on their interests, preferences, and abilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of individual and group activities programmes.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities
- Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme
- Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families
- Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme

**About you**
- An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role within aged care is desirable
- Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
- A fun personality with a creative flair
