Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and committed Alcohol & other Drug (AOD)/Co-Existing Disorder Clinician to join the National Youth Secure Forensic Inpatient team at Keneperu Hospital. We offer an MDT approach to specialised assessment and treatment for youth offenders with mental health problems and substance use problems within a bi-cultural model of care. We work within a framework of clinical governance and are a progressive service committed to providing a culture of ongoing professional development for staff through regular supervision, in-service training and support towards external education. You will be required to provide specialist assessment and intervention for our rangatahi in conjunction with the MDT.
Mō tō mātou rōpū ' About our team
Nga Taiohi is co-located with our Acute Youth Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Rangatahi) and the Youth Intellectual Disability (ID) Inpatient Unit (Hikitia Te Wairua) at Kenepuru Hospital. This service is part of Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAID's) Te Whatu Ora. We offer a supportive and friendly environment to work in with a committed team of staff in a modern purpose built facility.
Moū ' About you
- Previous youth and/or forensic experience preferred.
- You will be an experienced Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Addictions Clinician and hold a current DAPAANZ registration.
- Post registration education/learning and experience relevant to the specialty area of child and youth mental health and addiction is desirable.
- You must be willing to undergo a police vetting process.E pā ana ki a tatou ' About us
