**Position Summary**

We are seeking a qualified and experienced **IT Support Specialist** to join our technical team. The role requires hands-on expertise in **chip-level motherboard repairs**, **server and network administration**, and **cloud-based systems**, with flexibility to attend onsite service calls and provide client support across the Wairarapa region.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Diagnose and perform **chip-level motherboard and hardware repairs** on laptops, desktops, and servers
- Install, configure, and maintain **Windows Servers, VMs, and networked environments**:

- Administer **Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange Online** environments
- Manage **cloud computing and virtualisation platforms** (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware, Azure)
- Perform **data backup, migration, and recovery** operations
- Deliver **onsite IT support and maintenance** for business and residential clients
- Maintain workshop inventory, documentation, and job records
- Availability for **Saturday work** or rostered weekend support when required

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Minimum **3 years’ experience** in IT support, system administration, or electronic repair
- Strong knowledge of **motherboard-level component diagnostics and soldering**:

- Experience with **server setup, Active Directory, and virtual environments**:

- Competence in **Microsoft 365 / SharePoint / Exchange Online administration**:

- Understanding of **cloud computing, networking, and data security**:

- Valid **New Zealand driver’s licence** (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent problem-solving and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

**Preferred (but not essential)**:

- Formal IT qualification or certification (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Admin, or equivalent)
- Prior experience in IT workshop or MSP environment

**Employment Terms**
- **Full-time (37.5 hours per week)**:

- **Permanent position** based in Masterton, NZ
- **Hourly rate**: NZD $28 - $33 depending on experience and qualifications
- Employer is **Accredited under Immigration NZ’s AEWV programme**
