Butchery Manager

Fresh Choice Geraldine is a busy and successful locally-owned supermarket servicing the humming village of Geraldine and its surrounds in beautiful South Canterbury. They were named Fresh Choice Overall Store of the Year 2021 at the Fresh Choice Super Value Excellence awards and are proud of this recognition during what has been a challenging few years for all.

The team is gutted to be advertising this role, as they are losing someone who has contributed so much to the business, and who has played an integral part in the ongoing success of the in-store butchery. Their current manager is relocating, so we are looking for someone to fill some pretty big shoes

Fresh Choice now need a dynamic and motivated Butchery Manager to join their high-performing team, leading the butchery in providing their valued customers with consistently top-quality products. This role will also encompass the opportunity to support, train, and teach the department’s staff, including an apprentice Butcher.

An experienced and qualified Butcher yourself, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to the business, will be able to work in a fast-paced environment where product excellence is key, and have a positive approach to your work.

You will either already have experience in a leadership role, or are on a pathway towards becoming a leader, and Fresh Choice is happy to nurture an up-and-comer into this role
