Position Summary:
As Accounts Payable Associate, you will work in an international accounts payable team with colleagues from all over the globe. The main responsibility for the team is to ensure timely processing of incoming vendor invoices, responding to and resolving internal colleague and vendor queries, creating weekly payments and any other challenges to make sure our vendors are paid in time, and the invoices are processed according to our internal policies and procedures. You will be reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Your Day-to-Day
- Ensuring efficient, accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices
- Verifying those transactions comply with internal policies and procedures
- Investigating and resolving problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders
- Reconciling and monitoring vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including vendors and colleagues
- Processing weekly payment proposals
- Performing additional responsibilities as requested by Management
What You Bring to The Team:
- Minimum NCEA Level 3 or equivalent education/ 0-2 years of relevant experience
- High level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Roll up your sleeves attitude while maintaining the big picture
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving, and demanding environment
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
