We seek a highly skilled and motivated **Database Administrator**to join our dynamic team in Hamilton. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients’ database architecture, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all data master files. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation and security of our clients’ database systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing and managing the database architecture, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data master files.
- Performing routine operational tasks such as backups, recovery procedures, and enforcing security and integrity controls.
- Implementing and administering comprehensive documentation, guidelines, policies, and procedures for effective database administration.
- Testing and implementing upgrades to the database systems, resolving any identified issues and ensuring adherence to quality testing scripts and processes.
- Taking ownership of system security and disaster recovery planning, including monitoring and management of associated processes and procedures.
- Monitoring contractual obligations, performance delivery, and service level agreements to ensure compliance and satisfactory service provision.
- Troubleshooting and providing support for server-related hardware and software malfunctions across workstations and communication infrastructure.
- Maintaining accurate records, policies, instructions, and system logs to ensure comprehensive documentation of operational procedures.
- Assessing and optimizing computer sites to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of all components.
- Continuously evaluating the network infrastructure and making recommendations for enhancements to server and network implementation to meet future needs.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, OR 5 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of database architecture and data management principles.
- Proficiency in database administration and maintenance, including backup and recovery procedures.
- Solid understanding of database security and integrity controls.
- Familiarity with quality testing scripts, procedures, and processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve server-related hardware and software malfunctions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
