Assistant Operator

This is an entry-level role and you will be given full training. Whilst learning the ins and outs of working in a production environment, you will be assisting the main machine operator, involved in all aspects of production. The role will also include other general warehouse operations and duties.

Hours of this role: Monday - Friday, 7:30am -4:00pm

What you will be doing:

- Assisting with operating Folding Roofing machinery
- Supporting product manufacturing to the highest standard in the required time frames
- Performing accurate preparation of materials
- Assisting with loading / unloading, regular stock takes and machinery maintenance
- Operating the fork hoist
- General housekeeping duties
- Manufacturing background is an advantage but not essential
- An enthusiastic and eager individual
- Reliable, honest and have a good work ethic
- Attention to detail whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Be methodical in your approach to work;
- Display drive initiative and resourcefulness
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliability and commitment

The Company:
The Roofing Store, we are one of the leading suppliers who manufacture and create long run roofing, metal tiles, architectural steel roofing, cladding systems, rainwater products and all the accessories required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
