With a wide range of secure projects in our pipeline, your expertise and skills will be valued and well-utilised in our Wellington team as a Senior Surveyor. You’ll be responsible for organising and actioning surveying requirements on our contracts / projects, ensuring that work is carried out to contract programme and specifications.

As a strong leader, you will provide mentoring and training to junior and intermediate surveyors on Downer’s core values and general surveying best practices. You’ll oversee that all survey work across the Lower North region carries the highest level of survey quality.

The Senior Surveyor will have extensive knowledge in all aspects of New Zealand Surveying. The focus of your experience will be in Engineering/Construction Surveying on major infrastructure projects, complimented by experience and understanding of all other forms of Land Surveying practises in the country.

Skills & experience we’d value:

- A Diploma in Surveying or Bachelor of Surveying or similar qualification
- Construction experience comprising major infrastructure and tier 1 construction project experience
- Experience with Modern civil software (Civil3D, 12D, Trimble Business Centre etc)
- Experience with Leica or Trimble Total Stations, GNSS
- The flexibility to be mobile as working on projects outside your home base will be required from time to time
