We are looking for an experienced individual for the position of Store Manager to manage overall operations of our store and take the business to next level.
**You will be**:
- Ensuring that high level of customer service is always delivered.
- Responsible for providing optimum results.
- Responsible for managing store operations.
**You must**:
- Possess a minimum of one year of managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting, OR hold a qualification at least at Level 5 in business, commerce, retail, or hospitality management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational abilities coupled with effective time management.
- Showcase a motivation to deliver exceptional customer service and care.
- Display honesty, enthusiasm, and maintain a positive and mature attitude.
- Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as needed.
**You will be responsible for**:
**Financial Management**:
- Develop and manage budgets, initiate purchase orders, and oversee adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Execute product promotions and specials to enhance sales, ensuring timely sale of perishable items to minimize wastage.
**Inventory and Supplier Management**:
- Monitor and control stock levels, placing orders as necessary, and inspecting incoming stock.
- Identify and engage with optimal suppliers for each product category, cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Manage trade accounts, expand partnerships, and determine product mix and service standards.
- Employ effective display methods to ensure continuous visibility of available stock.
**Financial Transactions**:
- Conduct and oversee financial transactions, including cash handling, summarizing daily sales, entering invoices into the system, and managing payment lists.
- Facilitate the issuance of receipts, funds, and the redemption of coupons and vouchers, maintaining accurate transaction records.
**Financial Planning and Analysis**:
- Analyze sales and profit ratios, contributing insights to decision-making processes.
- Maintain the payroll register, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees, including PAYEE calculations and IRD compliance.
**Marketing and Advertisement**:
- Develop and implement purchasing and marketing policies.
- Execute advertising and promotional activities, offering bulk discounts and cross-selling products to drive sales.
- Initiate sales referrals, introduce new product lines, and ensure effective marketing strategies.
**Legal and Compliance**:
- Ensure the store adheres to legal requirements related to health, safety, cleanliness, and other regulatory compliances at all times.
**Human Resource Management**:
- Lead recruitment and selection processes, providing training to new and existing staff.
- Monitor staff efficiency, safety, and awareness of hazards, providing relevant training as needed.
- Manage rostering based on staff availability and pertinent information.
**Customer Service**:
- Directly engage in selling items, assist customers throughout the purchasing process, and address customer complaints efficiently to ensure overall satisfaction.
**Operational Excellence**:
- Contribute to strategic plans, implement action plans, and uphold production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
- Identify trends, propose system improvements, and facilitate operational change as needed.
**Administrative Responsibilities**:
- Manage administrative requirements and serve as a representative of the business when necessary.
**Store Management**:
- Uphold high standards of service and store cleanliness.
- Assume full responsibility for the overall functioning of the store.
- Undertake additional tasks as required.
Pay Rate: $32 per hour.
Minimum hours per week - 30
Location of Work - Wellington Region
