**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.**

**What you will be doing**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following.
- Receive Tunnel, Shaft and Surface designs for set-out
- Assist with all facets of land and engineering surveys, site and roadway design surveys, route surveys, construction surveys
- Setout, as built and conformance surveys of tunnel, shafts and infrastructure
- Assist with underground Control Network Surveys; set out and as-built for Tunnel Boring Machine
- Assist with the compilation of monthly production reports within the construction
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Surveying or a related field
- Broad knowledge of survey methods, equipment and techniques
- No construction experience is required but would be beneficial

All successful applicants will be required to undertake a Ministry of Justice and pre-employment drug and medical checks.
