Concrete Foreman

We are now seeking a Concrete Foreman to join our team in New Plymouth, working on road maintenance contracts. You will be managing a team of Concrete workers, planning forward work and controlling site quality and safety. In this role, you will be expected to work hands-on' at times to provide training and development for any new staff such as: - Erecting concrete formwork and laying steel reinforcing - Pouring, spreading and levelling concrete using screeds and templates - Forming expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straight edges - Cutting lines in concrete using power cutters - Cover freshly poured concrete with colouring powders and other materials. This role won't be limited to Concrete footpath repairs but will also include Kerb and Channel renewal, small Asphalt repairs and small drainage work. **You will have**: - NZ Register Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5) - A proven track record of supervising concrete teams - A full driver's license, (class 2 license would be beneficial) - WTR - Able to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to work Crews - Shows willingness/provides solutions to assist with a "continual improvement" philosophy. - An organized and systematic approach to the working environment - Strong planning skills - Good verbal and written communication skills **In Return We Offer**: Minimum wage to $27 per hour.
