**Principal Strategy** to join us in a

**The Role**

As Principal Strategy you will work to identify opportunities and strategic risks to IAG and articulate the options for IAG’s response. You will be responsible for providing insight and structure, while facilitating and enabling senior leaders to make informed strategic choices aligned to IAG Strategy The role facilitates and challenges strategic discussions and thinking across key stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support development of the 3 yearly strategic roadmap for IAG NZ.
- Lead the planning and execution of specific strategic projects.
- Resolve broad and complex issues into clear strategic insights which are compelling and meet the individual stakeholders needs across IAG.
- Develop insights through detailed financial analysis, market or trend research, and use of strategic frameworks
- Create clear and compelling reports on key strategic issues, enabling senior leaders to make informed strategic decisions.
- Identify and engage necessary stakeholders required to draw out key insights and support delivery of strategic projects.
- Provide governance and strategic alignment of IAG’s Corporate Strategy across business planning, portfolio management and other external projects.
- Develop and present strategy communication materials to teams across IAG.
- Advise and support on M&A opportunities in NZ, aligned to Group Corporate Development.

**Skills & Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, or strategy roles in digital or customer-led organisations
- Proven lateral thinking skills and ability to deliver original solutions to complex problems
- Structured problem-solving capability and experience
- Experience leading projects collaboratively across multiple business units
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (PowerPoint and word format)
- Experience in conducting detailed business modelling via excel including scenario analysis, return on investment analysis, etc. to inform strategic choices
- Ability to facilitate sessions and to challenge ideas constructively
- Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness
- Experience in senior stakeholder management
