We are looking for a Procurement Advisor/ Contracts Manager to optimise the procurement processes. The Procurement Advisor will be responsible for supporting the staff and the project team to execute the procurement of goods and services following government rules of sourcing including the management of RFP tenders.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
- Work proactively with budget owners to develop an understanding of their business needs and assist in the procurement of goods and services.
- Negotiate resolution of issues for unapproved invoices.
- Create contracts and purchase orders in the financial management system.
- Arrange any pre-tender briefings, manage the advertising, publishing, and administration of the tender.
- Prepare evaluation reports and provide input into the evaluation process and report.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Work on Projects and maintain stakeholder management.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 2 - 5 years experience in some or all of the job requirements
- Experience with Government rules of sourcing and Government Electronic Tender Service ‘GETS’
- Experience working for a Schedule 2 or Schedule 4A company under the Public Finance Act highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and driving supplier performance improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
