Stonewood Group Limited is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join our Legal team managing over $1B property assets. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role that is fast paced & diverse; and if you would like to work with the best, then please step forward.

About the role

The role will handle on a daily basis a broad range of legal matters including but not limited to: corporate governance, joint venture projects, establishing new policies and regulatory guidelines as regards commercial matters. The role will help Stonewood Group businesses to manage legal risk in connection with property development, large projects, significant contracts, transactions, regulatory consultations, and various complex legal matters.

About you
- A law degree in New Zealand. Admitted to the New Zealand Bar.
- At least 5 years’ full time working experience in corporate environment. Ideally from a large law firm in New Zealand.
- Expected key areas of expertise: property and commercial contracts.
- Good drafting, review, research skills and negotiation of contracts.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand the relevant facts and legal issues, identifying risks or procedural issues, and present findings clearly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable, able to work in a diverse and fast-paced work environment.
- Able to build good working relationship across the board
