**Deli Manager - New World Point Chevalier**

We’re excited to announce that New World Point Chevalier will be joining the community later this year With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors to the Point Chev community.

With our opening set for early September 2025, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Deli Manager to join the team. As a department manager, you’ll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community.

**The Role**

As Deli Manager you’ll produce an exceptional catering offer for our community and supervise the team, ensuring the finest standards are delivered to our customers.
- Sales planning, rostering, merchandising and ordering of stock to company specified guidelines and budgets
- Deliver on agreed budgets and targets
- Lead a successful team and excel at consistently delivering high standards
- Manage budgeting, stock and sales promotion
- Ensuring the department complies with all relevant food safety & H&S requirements
- Ensuring the department meets both financial and operational targets
- Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results

**What are we looking for**:

- Experience in leading and developing staff to be high achievers in customer service and deli retailing skills
- SAP knowledge and trading of a Fresh / Deli Department OR similar
- Strong people focus, with an ability to lead, supervise and work well with others.
- Passionate about quality fresh food and offering exceptional catering to our community
- Reliable, honest and must be a good team player
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
