**About the role...**
Based at our office in Christchurch, we are searching for an Accounts Assistant. The primary purpose of this role is to complete store revenue and bank reconciliations and is based in the finance team. The role will also assist the finance team in other areas where needed and will work mainly on banking for the Rip Curl brand, across multiple entities and regions. The role also provides opportunity for growth into other areas of the finance function. Day to day responsibilities include;
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Handle ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as assigned by the finance managers.

**About you...**
To be successful in this role you will be familiar with bank reconciliations or similar finance tasks preferred. Experience with large ERP systems and finance tools also preferable but not a necessity if you are proactive with learning new systems. Basic excel skills will be an advantage for this role and a general interest in accounting and finance.
