Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Our Ophthalmology Service provides high quality care to patients in the Auckland Region and offers a range of secondary and tertiary services primarily based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. We also provide services at various sites across the Auckland Region. The administration team plays an integral role by providing front-line contact with patients and supporting clinicians in providing a responsive, high quality service.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Relief Administrator within Ophthalmology Service. This is a great role where you will be working across the different teams that make up the Administration service; Reception, Clinical Records, Scheduling and Surgical Booking.
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, you will jump in to the different teams when needed to cover all leave requirements. You will essentially be an 'All-rounder', so the ability to think on your feet and prioritise work is essential.
This role is permanent, full time 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day Monday - Sunday, fully rostered. Our main base is the Greenlane Clinical Centre, Epsom, but you may be asked to cover at our other satellite clinics within the Auckland Region, so flexibility is key.

- Excellent reception and telephone skills with a good command of the English language
- A strong desire to provide our patients with a quality experience with the ability to empathise and work compassionately with people from various cultures
- Ability to work as a part of the team and build strong relationships within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong work ethic and a positive mind set
- You will need to be agile in your thinking and have advanced computer skills
- Knowledge and experience of health care environment and our computer systems will be helpful.
