Sharper Image has been based at the heart of Johnsonville providing exceptional hair design and other beauty services in Wellington region for over 20 years. We are looking for a Nail Technician Trainee who can deliver nail services in a very relaxed and comfortable environment. In return we will make sure your needs and welfare are taken care of.

**Hourly wage**
- $29.66 - $30.00

**Hours worked**
- 35-40 per week

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist in providingprofessional nail, foot, and hand treatments in compliance with Sharper Image protocols andcertification practices.
- Assist in the process of applyinggel, acrylic and shellac manicure and pedicure services as well as assisting in fixing and removing nails.
- Learning to takeproper care for nail equipment and learning to use proper quantities of product to help with cost controls.
- Assist in meeting retail sales objectives.
- Assisting in preperationwork, learning how to cleanproperly, and restock the work environment as required.
- Learn to communicate all occurrences relating guests or staff in Sharper Image with management.
- Assist in promotingSharper Images services, treatments, retail, and promotions, as well as programs, or discounts available.
- Learn to handleconcerns and question of guests courteously and professionally.
- Assist and learn how to provie accurate, immediate and appropriate responses to all guests requests ensuring their complete satisfaction.
- Attending, participating in, supporting staff meetingsfor Sharper Image.
- Assessing and accommodating guest needs and inquiring about their welfare.
- Practicing safe work habits and routines at all times, in order to avoid injury.
- Learn how to give appropriate aftercare instructions to the customer, and check that they understand these instructions.

**Skills and Specifications**
- Ability to learn new skills and perform these skills productively without direct supervision.
- Can maintain a positive attitude contributing to a quality work environment.
- Ability to speak and write well.
- The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Relevant work experience as a nail technician is an advantage, but not a requirment.

**Education and Qualifications**
- You must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide manicure and pedicure services. This will beachieved through the training provided by SharperImage, with our company acting asa nail services training provider. However this can also be achieved
- Relevant Certificatein Beautician or Nail Technology.
