We have an excellent opportunity for someone from a proven clinical background andexcellent policy/guideline writing skills to work in an administrative based role.
This is a**4 month temporary assignment**working for a large well known health organisation based in Greenlane,**full time hours required - ASAP start.**
The Primary purpose of the role will be engagingwith staff throughout the organisation to support reviews of policies and guidelinesto ensure it is understandable to all staff, references are checked for accuracy and currency and feedback is provided.
Main duties of the role
- Provide advice, assistance and coaching to staff in the development or revision of new and existing policies and guidelines
- Facilitate corporate and clinical peer review and consultation of draft policies and guidelines to ensure content is best practice and research-based
- Ensure that all corporate and clinical policy and guideline documents are clear, objective, focussed, user-friendly and written according to the organisations templates and style guide
- Coordinate authorisation of final policy or guideline documents with relevant owners
- Publish documents as required
- Quality check for readability and comprehension to optimise patient safety.
- Assist managers and clinical leaders to prepare for certification and accreditation audits
- Ensure consistency of controlled document presentation for policies and guidelines.
- Create and maintain templates to standardise layout
- Extensive experience in the production of professionally written and presented policies and guidelines or other business critical content
- Clinical experience such as nursing
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Experience in writing medical information in plain English
- Experience in management of policies and guidelines and in document control processes
- Leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly to senior executive and to both clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels of the organisation
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills, particularly MS Word
- Ability to interpret content and critical analysis
