A new role has opened up for a Senior SAP Systems Engineer, to join the highly skilled, professional tech team who keep everything up and running. With a large, diverse technology environment (SAP - ECC6, HANA, Process Integration, BW Netweaver, Portal, Business Objects), no day will be the same.
**The opportunity**:
In this role you will be tasked with supporting existing and new IT systems, with a focus on the SAP environment. This will include:
- Managing and monitoring all in-scope IT systems and infrastructure
- Delivering assigned internal IT projects
- Participating in the design of information and operational support systems
- Ensuring security patches are applied in accordance with patch policy
- Upgrading systems with new releases and models when required
- Proactively ensuring the highest practical levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Advocating for and deploying good IT security practices
- Advocating for and deploying continuous improvement practices
- Provide support to resolving IT related issues across the network
**The Fit**:
- You have over 5 years Systems Engineering experience - with a focus on SAP
- You will have some experience leading projects - there are some exciting ones in the pipeline
- You know how to manage and prioritise your responsibilities - you won’t be micro-managed
- You enjoy working within a professional, supportive and fun team
