At the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) | Te Pā Whakamarumaru, we are dedicated to our mission of keeping Aotearoa New Zealand and our people safe and secure. We collect and analyse intelligence and security concerns to protect New Zealand from threats such as foreign interference, espionage and terrorism. **The role**: The NZSIS is seeking a talented and motivated person to lead our unit of Assessment and Reporting teams who work together with others to provide timely, impactful assessments, advice and intelligence insights to the wider Government sector. Who we are looking for You will bring proven experience and knowledge in national security and intelligence analysis and operations. Experience in a "leader of leaders" position is also essential as you will be responsible for leading and providing operational and strategic direction to the unit and maintaining effective working relationships with other NZIC and wider Government teams. Strong people leadership skills with proven ability to lead and maintain highly performing teams and deliver results with impact through others A strategic focus with the judgement required to manage sensitive and at times nationally significant issues Experience developing and delivering multiple programmes of work across a diverse customer set Proven relationship and stakeholder management skills in an intelligence and/or security context In depth understanding of current intelligence trends and how intelligence fits within the wider machinery of government The appointing range for this role is between $168,953 - $180,217 per annum.
