**Climbing Wall Coordinator - YMCA Taranaki**

Are you passionate about climbing and creating safe, inclusive spaces for people to grow and thrive? YMCA Taranaki is seeking a **Climbing Wall Coordinator** to lead the operations of our indoor climbing wall with energy, professionalism, and heart.

This **permanent part-time role (20 hours/week)** requires flexibility, including some evenings and weekends. You’ll be responsible for both the **day-to-day running** of the climbing wall and the **administration** that keeps it all running smoothly.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Ensure a **safe, welcoming, and fun environment** for climbers of all ages—from preschoolers to adults.
- Deliver engaging climbing sessions and support climbers at all skill levels.
- Manage bookings, schedules, and client communications.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold health & safety standards.
- Lead with confidence and care, fostering a positive community atmosphere.

**What You’ll Bring**:

- Strong **administration skills** and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in climbing instruction and basic rope techniques.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Confidence working independently and making sound decisions.
- A friendly, approachable personality and a commitment to learning.
- Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
- Experience leading groups, especially in sport or recreation settings.
