**About the role**:
The GEDI is a Registered Nurse who demonstrates advanced and expanded clinical skills, knowledge and high level of capacity to translate these into contemporary evidence based emergent clinical care to older people who present to the Emergency Department. The role is required to work Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630.

Join our dynamic team of compassionate registered nurses in our outpatient cardiology unit As a valued member, you'll collaborate closely with fellow nurses and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to our patients. Your expertise will contribute to creating a nurturing and safe environment where patients and their families feel supported and cared for.

**Skills and experience**:
Adhering to the Nursing Council of New Zealand's Code of Conduct and competencies, you'll demonstrate:

- Sound judgment and accountability for your actions, prioritizing patient safety, independence, and quality of life.
- Effective communication with patients and team members, ensuring clear documentation.
- Evaluation of care effectiveness and advocacy for nursing perspectives within the team.
- Provision of evidence-based health education and guidance to empower patients and families in making informed decisions.
- Accurate documentation and maintenance of privacy.
- Support for the professional development of colleagues, including new staff, graduates, and nursing students.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as assigned, agreed upon with your manager.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, maintaining competence through a Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio within the first year of employment.
