Taumata Arowai is the water services regulator for Aotearoa New Zealand. It is a Crown entity governed by a Minister-appointed Board and advised on Māori interests and knowledge by Te Puna, a statutory Māori Advisory Group. Our responsibilities are to protect and promote drinking water safety and related public health outcomes - we regulate drinking water suppliers on behalf of the public. Our Manager Technical Advice will
- Build and lead a high performing team which are engaged and motivated to succeed
- Provide people leadership and functional leadership, leading our technical advice, supplier quality assurance rule reporting, and exemptions functions
- Manage and deploy people resources to ensure the delivery of the technical advice and Operations work programmes, and technical advice and information needs across the organisation

We are looking for someone who
- 7+ years' experience relevant to this role
- Experience providing strategic technical advice
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external, able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrated people leadership capability
