Event Crew

At Te Rauparaha Arena we provide the city with a world class facility catering for events ranging from sporting events, conferences, concerts and dinners. We are a seven day a week facility that hosts people from around the country and around the world. Sometimes you may even catch a glimpse of the occasional celebrity.

**About the role**

We are looking for a permanent full time Event Crew member who will assist with the set up and pack down of the facilities required for the various bookings and events at Te Rauparaha Arena.

In this role you will:

- work in a busy events environment setting up and packing down for events
- be physically active and work at a fast paced doing things like setting up staging and carpeting for a concert, sports equipment for a tournament or gymnastics gear for classes
- work evenings and weekends, your hours of work will be rostered in advance for a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Porirua City is a living wage accredited employer and the starting hourly rate for this is from $27.80.

**About you**

Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in a similar physically demanding role or someone who will be dedicated to learn this intense role. We will provide you with a fun, engaging and hardworking, supportive team. You’ll need to show us that you:

- are physically fit and like being ‘hands on’
- are reliable, customer focused and able to use your initiative
- have a clean, full driver’s license
- enjoy working under pressure to tight timeframes
- enjoy working in a hardworking team environment
