Global industry extracts trillions of litres of water each day with very little ability to recycle and reuse this water. Aquafortus is an innovative technology company poised to disrupt the industry and is at the forefront of research, development, and deployment of high-recovery industrial water remediation technologies. We are currently looking for a **Process Chemist Team Leader** to join our management team. You and your team will be the key technical resource to the business development, engineering, and chemistry teams by actively driving and managing the technology evaluation and ensuring commercial success. You will not only be managing a team of highly talented chemists, but you will also ensure that the company's novel chemical products and processes are commercially viable. This includes assisting in the development of new processes and technologies to advance the company's success.
- PhD and/or Masters in Chemistry with **5+ years'** experience in a commercial laboratory.
- Experience in successfully leading teams of more than 3 team members in a relevant or closely related field.
- Experience working with chemical processes and a variety of laboratory instruments.
- Ability to follow chemistry methods and write them.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Team player with a positive attitude that can put the team ahead of self-interest.
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in Microsoft office suite.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- High level of professionalism, including when interacting with staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English for the preparation and presentation of reports.
