**About the Role**

**Position: Shift Manager**

The primary responsibility of the Shift Manager is to manage and drive the loading and unloading of ships arriving at the port. This is a demanding but rewarding leadership role and pivotal to our organisation. It will involve leading a dedicated team of skilled individuals in the handling of everything from logs, timber, bulk products and more. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of your team and for managing cargo flow through the effective use of our unique cargo management systems.

**Location: Port of Tauranga**

**Status**:This is a full-time salaried position. Shift Managers have a roster based on shipping schedules and will rotate between morning and evening shifts as needed to meet business demands.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Ensure strict adherence to our safety protocols
- Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox meetings
- Foster a culture of safety awareness
- Utilize specialized cargo management systems
- Coordinate with ship captains, port authorities, and logistics partners
- Optimize loading and unloading operations
